THE NATIONAL DRAINAGE SHOW 2024

The National Drainage Show 2024

November saw TWD exhibit at Floodex: The National Drainage Show for the first time. After months of meetings, planning, ideas and organising, we were proud to showcase our business amongst clients, suppliers, colleagues and competitors at ExCel in London over two busy days.

New relationships were forged, with so much potential for the future, whilst also catching up with our peers who are just as passionate about the industry as we are.

The announcement of the launch of a nationally recognised drainage apprenticeship was met with absolute delight, as we have been crying out for this for so long. Finally, new talent and existing engineers will be rewarded with the same level of qualification available to anyone entering a career in the construction trade. It closes the gap left by raising school leaving age to 18, as previously, this would exclude these students from entering the drainage industry until they reach the age of 18. We have so many exciting plans for the future….watch this space!

The evening of day 2 saw the second National Drainage Awards, hosted by the NADC. We were thrilled to sponsor the event, which was a huge success and provided a rare opportunity for industry peers from all over the country, and further afield, to celebrate their successes in 2024. A huge congratulations to all the winners.

Our competition running across the two show days saw a triumphant win of the buzz wire game being completed in an outstanding 18 seconds! Well done, Andy!

We are already planning for 2025; we can’t wait to see you all there.

A few thank you’ s, without whom, this wouldn’t be possible:

Bison – for your creative vision and help to bring our stand to life, whilst reflecting our key values

JM Entertainment – the buzz wire game was amazing, and the service was 10/10!
