TWD are exceedingly proud to announce that we have invested in an AED (automated external defribrillator) at our head office. As demonstrated in our rigorous training programme, we take the health and safety of all of our employees very seriously and this new addition shows our commitment to each and every staff member.
There are more than 30,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests in the UK each year. The chances of survival decrease by up to 10% for every minute that passes without treatment.
With over 50 employees who attend head office each week, along with the fact that we are situated in a residential area, we felt that this investment would give peace of mind and could make a real difference if the need ever arose. Our trained first aiders now have this at their immediate disposal, should it ever be required.
